ADA Information
We have worked closely with various individuals and organizations to bring the best experience possible at Strawberry Days and manage expectations with Two Rivers Park accessibility.
Many thanks to The Kirstie Ennis Foundation, Return to Dirt, and Sunny McClain and Parker.
Expectations:
- ADA accessible entrances to the park are at the east end, southwest end AND northeast end. The northeast entrance is ONLY for ADA, staff, and vendors (please see attached map.)
- Two Rivers Park is 22 acres with a 6 ft wide sidewalk that runs throughout.
- The majority of arts and crafts vendors will be located along the sidewalk, on the grass. All booths will sit roughly 2 ft off of the sidewalk. To enter the booths, you will need to exit the sidewalk path.
- Food vendors and main stage entertainment viewing are located in the outfield of the ball diamond on grass. Parks and Rec will mow the grass as low as they are allowed to help with the movement of wheelchairs (please see attached map.)
- Parking in the Two Rivers Parking lot (west side of the park) is by permit only and for persons with disabilities. You MUST have an identifying placard or license plate to enter the parking lot (please see attached map.)
- ADA parking is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis. ADA Van Accessible spots are very limited, so please do not park in one unless necessary.
- We have ADA accessible restrooms available in the following areas (please see attached map as well):
- north side of ball diamond
- east side of Two Rivers parking lot
- near the west entrance
- in the roundabout at the entrance of the Two Rivers parking lot.
We welcome positive suggestions and solutions for anything that our community feels we should address in regards to ADA accessibility. Please email Tara Harman at tara@glenwoodchamber.com.
