The Public Art Master Plan kicked off in early 2020 with a visit by Ohio-based firm Designing Local but was later paused as the City mounted a response to the twin crises of the pandemic and the Grizzly Creek Fire. As our city works to recover from these unprecedented impacts, the Glenwood Springs Public Art Master Plan presents an opportunity to help enliven and inspire Glenwood’s residents and business owners by defining and projecting the City’s signature to the region and beyond. Our plan will set the standard for how we begin to implement and enjoy public art while also embracing our community’s spirit and artistic expressions.
The plan is now at its most important point, the public engagement phase. There are several opportunities for the public to participate in giving feedback. For more information, go to the project site.
