Senator Bennet to Host Colorado Small Business Telephone Town Hall Friday, April 17
Denver – Colorado U.S. Senator Michael Bennet will host a telephone town hall this Friday, April 17 to provide an update for the Colorado small business community on the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) federal response.
Bennet will deliver opening remarks and moderate a panel discussion featuring Betsy Markey, Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade (OEDIT), Glenn Plagens, Colorado Small Business Development Center Network (CSBDC) and Cher Roybal Haavind, Colorado Division of Labor and Employment (CDLE).
Bennet will discuss implementation of the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act as well as his priorities for Colorado small businesses in the next economic relief package. The panel of experts will provide information about accessing the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP), how self-employed Coloradans can apply for Pandemic Unemployment Assistance, as well as other federal, state and local coronavirus resources available to the Colorado small business community.
